Using the Zevo Insect Trap to Fix our Fly Problem
We have a fly issue around Lemon Ash Manor. The pasture across the street houses cows, donkeys and horses from time to time. The flies find fertile…well…housing to multiply. Boy do they multiply. Then they go in search of food, nicer housing and windows to buzz around. These particular flies find their way to our house pretty quickly and in droves. Enter the Zevo Insect Trap. Our Sister-in-law, at Piney Acre Farms (give her a follow on Facebook) is a Chicken Mom. If you know anything about chickens, you know chickens mean flies. She uses the same traps and says they work well. So we are going to give them a try.
Amazon Product Testing Zevo Traps for Our VLOG
Trying products and recording vlogs is part of what we do at It’s A Lemonade Life. We have an Affiliate Account, so making content helps us make a few coins. We are literally making coins at this point, hoping it will grow. So, we include links for the products we try on our blog, vlog, Facebook and LinkTree. Just so you know, when you purchase products on Amazon by clicking on our links, it doesn’t cost you any more than if you had searched for it on Amazon instead. What it does is help us supplement RJ’s stroke recovery fund. We appreciate every purchase via our links whether we make a dime or not.
Fly Trap Product Testing Fail
We like to test products that are practical everyday products people can really use. So, we went to Amazon and purchased the Zevo insect traps. Or did we? One particular day, the flies were testing our patience like they were filming Top Gun and doing a flyby on the Air Traffic Control Tower. They were relentless and we had enough. Our Zevo order had been delivered by the nice Amazon delivery person, right to our front door. It was the perfect time to put them to good use. So, we got ready to video our vlog post of the set-up of the traps. Then we were going to wait a few days and film the results of the trap’s work. But, we hit a snag.
Zevo Trap VLOG Testing Fail
The plan was to show the Zevo boxes, open them and reveal the products. Then, we were going to tell about the insect traps and how they work. The next step was to put the together and plug them in. Great plan, right? Patti opened the box and pulled out a Zevo cartridge refill. She had a confused look and was puzzled by the contents. Refill? Where was the fly trap? Both boxes were refills. We began to laugh hysterically. Patti was sure she order the trap. A quick check of Amazon and in fact, she had not ordered the trap. She ordered 2 boxes of refills. OOPS! Getting video content posted on time is important. We had to make a decision to shift gears. Although this doesn’t sound funny in the written form, the puzzlement on Patti’s face in the vlog will crack you up. Shifting gears, we chose another product we ordered to try out, promising to circle back around to the Zevo insect traps as soon as our next order came in. The order with the trap that all of these refills would fit!
Switching Test Products to a Kitchen Sink Hack
Our kitchen sink area needs some help. Altogether, we must have eight or 10 different items sitting around the sink for easy access. While scrolling through Amazon one day, Patti spotted a Kitchen Sink Splash Guard that looked like it could address some of our mess. So, she ordered it. It is made of silicone and had grippers, promising ease of use and easy to clean. Also, the hole that goes around the faucet is universal, so it will fit most sinks. However, the length of the guard doesn’t fit our needs. Of course, the product detail gave the dimensions. Did Patti read them? Of course not! So, as you can see in the vlog, the guard holds the sponge and a scrub pad. Maybe we should check for a larger guard? Besides the guard being short, Patti showed some frustration with the sink stopper for the gobbler-upper. That’s what GrandMother called the sink garbage disposal. Where do you put that thing? Shouldn’t there be a spot to hang it inside the cabinet under the sink? Since there isn’t a spot like that in the kitchen at Lemon Ash Manor, we discussed an alternative. Coming up in a future video, we will share the little holder we found and let you know if it cooled Patti’s frustrations.
Stay Tuned for the Zevo Testing VLOG
We have the Zevo Insect Trap on order from Amazon. As quick as Amazon deliver is, we should be able to pick up where we left off in a few days. We can’t wait to share it with you. Mostly because we are hopeful that the fly traps work as good as Zevo and Sister-in-law Dawn say they do. Stay tuned for our next fresh squeezed video.
